Teamsters Multi-Benefit Trust (the Plan) is a multi-employer plan formed under a collective bargaining agreement with participating employers and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters located within the Jurisdiction of Joint Council of Teamsters No. 42. The Plan is subject to the provisions of the provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), as amended.
There are a number of benefit options offered by the Plan. You must consult the terms of your Collective Bargaining Agreement to determine which of these benefits is available to you and to your dependents. Your eligibility is determined by the terms of your Collective Bargaining Agreement and the rules of the Teamsters Multi-Benefit Trust (“Trust” or “Trust Fund”).
Depending upon the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between your Employer and your Union, the following benefit programs are provided for you and your eligible dependents under group insurance contracts entered into by the Trust: Medical Plan, Hospital Plan, Dental Plan, Vision Plan, Member Assistance Program (MAP), and Legal Benefit.
The benefits provided by the Plan and the eligibility requirements are described in the Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD’s) which are provided on this web site.
